Multi-Room Living Space

“Thank you for your support throughout. I'm so glad we worked with you to get there!”

This design was all about creating a home that feels as good as it looks, with better flow and balance between the living room, kitchen and dining room, and a scheme that feels both stylish and cosy. It’s a space made for relaxing and entertaining, for feeling proud of, and for enjoying every day.

Their house had plenty of potential, but lacked flow and clarity. When this couple moved in together a few years ago, they combined all their belongings but were left with a space that felt like neither of them. The challenge was to create a more connected, inviting space that worked for everyday family life and felt like something to be proud of

Before

Proposed design

An old colour scheme gets a boost, with soft, earthy neutrals.

I provided them with a design that strikes a balance between softness and a contemporary edge. We incorporated a blue they loved and had already used in their home, but had struggled to find a colour to put with it. This time, I gave them options that elevated it with colours that complemented each other, so it felt considered and cohesive, moving the colours through each room to create a balanced colour scheme.

This was more than a lick of paint...I gave them the plan and they made it happen. Becca and Dan worked so hard to bring this to life, from painting to styling. Even though it might have felt a little more adventurous than what they might have chosen before, they bought some stunning furniture that tied into the scheme beautifully and showed a real understanding of how to make this design work with confidence. The choices they made were still items they loved, but a more interesting, intentional version.

“Having the plans really helped, I kept using them and going back to them”

Now, they have made a home that feels calm, looks stylish and comes together, each room connected to the other.

This wasn’t about massive changes, ripping it all out and starting over. It wasn’t about a huge reveal.

It was about making a family home feel like the family. Making each room feel cohesive as you move through the space and helping this couple understand how to take the style and colours that they love and translate that into a design that they’re both happy with. It’s calm, beautiful and quietly luxurious.

“I probably wouldn’t have thought to choose that on my own but I love it”

Thank you for your guidance and motivation, we would not have got there without you!
